Palumbo girls defeat George Washington

The Academy at Palumbo High School girls basketball team defeated George Washington, 46-25, on Wednesday in a Philadelphia Public League matchup.

The Griffins (5-2 record) were led by Mylan Marable, who contributed a game-high 16 points. Freshman Aisha Muibi scored 10 of her 12 points in the second quarter as Palumbo took a 19-9 halftime lead. Tatiana Charles added 10 points for the Griffins.
