Helium Presents: 7 for 7: Hosted by South Philly comedian Steve Rinaldi, Helium Comedy Club offers seven comedians for $7. This showcase features a mix of local comedians and comics that have worked around the country. Featuring: Tait Winston, Neil Wood, Mike Perkins, Brian Six, David James, Jon DelCollo and Joe Bartnick.

Right to Breathe Victory Celebration – From 5-9 p.m. at Bartram’s Garden, Eastwick Pavilion, a celebration of the closure of the PES oil refinery. Join Philly Thrive with dinner, dancing, storytelling about how the Right to Breathe Campaign was won, awards and honoring the leaders who have passed away. Percy Street Petal Procession Mural Dedication Block Party – from noon to 4 p.m. on the 1200 block of S. Percy St., a mural dedication of Percy Street Petal Procession by Mural Arts Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists’ 2021 Fellow Lindsay Bedford. The street mural will feature a procession of 33 flower petals in vibrant color. The dedication will be part of a block party celebrating the neighborhood’s involvement in the project and the mural’s prominence within the 1200 block of S. Percy St.

Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament – At 2300 Arena, the next generation of Philadelphia boxers will compete across 15 weight classes to showcase their skills, stamina and agility. The winners of the Pennsylvania Eastern Regional Golden Gloves event will advance to the Pennsylvania State Championship. Tickets at $25 are on sale through Joe Hand Promotions by calling 215-364-9000 or purchasing at the 2300 Arena door.

May 5

Career Fair – From 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the South Philadelphia Library at 1700 S. Broad St. Outdoors. Rain Date is May 6 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

May 7

ABBA Dance Party – From 7-10 p.m. at the American Swedish Historical Museum, celebrate the iconic music of ABBA at the museum’s 2nd Annual ExtrABBAganza Dance Party. Dancing and costume contest and live performances by Summer St. Cartier, Cherry St. Cartier, Morgan Morgan Morgan and Amerie Jameson. Held outside on the Museum Terrace with limited capacity. ‘70s inspired attire is encouraged. Happy Hour and crafting event – From 5-8 p.m. at Magic Gardens at 1020 South St. Refreshing beverages from Chaddsford Winery, Hochstadter’s Slow & Low Whiskey, and Sly Fox Brewing Company are included with admission. Make Cork Creatures and Paper Puppets of Isaiah and Julia Zagar at crafts table followed by a “tile bingo” game, with a DJ from BridgeSet Sound. Proceeds benefit PMG’s education and outreach programs. Tickets are $25/ Adults and $16/ PMG Members. Tickets are available starting April 27.

Comedy show at Live! – at 7 p.m., comedians, Eric D’Alessandro and Vic DiBitetto will come together for the first time to launch their ‘Funny How?’ Tour at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia. Tickets are $45, $55 and $65 and available for purchase at AXS.com. A second show has been added for 10 p.m.

May 18

Dish it Up – From 6-9 p.m. at Lincoln Financial FIeld, Women Against Abuse Inc. will host the 14th annual event and women chefs will bring their finest culinary skills to compete for best dish of the night, selected by a panel of celebrity judges. This event is Philadelphia’s only women chef competition and attracts close to 500 business and community leaders and food aficionados. Former Philadelphia Eagle Troy Vincent and Tommi Vincent will be honored as the 2022 Advocates of the Year. Tickets start at $150 and are available at  www.womenagainstabuse.org/events/dish-it-up.
