Philly pastry chef Abby Dahan will be collaborating with River Twice chef /owner Randy Rucker for the next Hidden in Plain Sight dinner on Monday, May 16, at 5 p.m. at the restaurant’s location at 1601 E. Passyunk Ave.

The duo will be creating a seven-course dinner focusing on Dahan’s Moroccan roots, with dishes such as brick pastry, a salatim collection and multiple courses featuring meat, fish and specialty desserts.

“I’m so excited to get in the kitchen with someone as talented as Chef Rucker,” Dahan said in a press release. “Randy and the entire River Twice team have been working magic in the kitchen since they opened, and I couldn’t think of a better place to expand my horizon and showcase foods I’ve only made for friends and family before.”

Dahan, who was born in Paris and attended pastry school in the city, has worked as a pastry chef for the last 12-plus years. In addition to her eight-year career at Parc, she has worked at Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas and currently runs her own baking brand called The Bake School. She was named a champion on Food Network’s Chopped Sweets and earned first place at the L’art du Chocolatier Challenge in 2011.

This will be River Twice’s 17th collaboration for its Hidden in Plain Sight dinner, for which Rucker teams up with a guest chef or beverage brand. Past participants include chefs Alex Yoon, Amanda Shulman and Christopher Kearse as well as beverage companies Human Robot Brewery and Hale & True Cider.

Both indoor and outdoor dining will be available. Dinners start at $130 per person, or $150 at the chef’s counter. More information can be found at rivertwicerestaurant.com.
