Griffins soar into Public League championship game

The Academy at Palumbo High School boys volleyball team defeated Frankford in straight sets in the Philadelphia Public League semifinal game on May 20 at Palumbo Rec Center. The Griffins will take on the winner of the other semifinal between Central and Abraham Lincoln on Tuesday in the championship game.

Palumbo also earned the right to play in the PIAA Class 2A District 12 championship game against Lansdale Catholic on Thursday. Check back soon for a story on the team’s success.
