Philadelphia Orchestra free Pride Concert – at 7:30 p.m. in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the performance will be a celebration of resilience, perseverance, joy and love — themes that will be apparent throughout the evening in Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Jennifer Higdon’s Fanfare Ritmico, selections from Barber’s Suite from Souvenirs and selections from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.

‘rADicAl ImAgInAtIoN (and other sorted pandemic musings)’ – On June 3 at 7 p.m. and June 4 at 2 p.m., hosted by Theatre Exile, a Paper Wings event featuring original works written by students from Fanny Jackson Coppin and Franklin Learning Center. Thirty students wrote original works using World Building prompts created by education director, Mx. TS Hawkins. Through imaginative and thematic activities, group assignments and peer review, the students had an opportunity to gain real-world experiences and learn how to collaborate in a writer’s room. United South/Southwest Meeting on Refinery Redevelopment – From 2-4 p.m. at Stinger Square Park (32nd & Reed) and livestream on the Coalition’s Facebook, more than 20 community organizations representing all neighborhoods surrounding the former PES oil refinery site, invites you to the first in-person public meeting on the refinery redevelopment since Hilco came to Philly nearly two years ago. Hilco, the new owner of the refinery site, will be attending the meeting and has committed to answer residents’ questions about the “Bellwether District” and listen to concerns and ideas residents have.
