South Philadelphia High School celebrated its 117th anniversary of the groundbreaking of the school with a celebration and tree planting on June 6.
The school community gathered to celebrate the occasion. The groundbreaking took place in 1905 and the school officially opened in 1907 at Broad and Snyder. (Contributed photo).
