Letter to the Editor: Looking forward to the car show/festival

As a lifelong resident of the East Passyunk Avenue neighborhood, I was delighted to read Joe DiProsperos’ report on a special event coming up soon (“Car Show and Street Festival returning to East Passyunk Avenue,” July 13). I have fond memories of previous car shows and have missed them.

All this is happening thanks to my good friend and neighbor Adam Leiter, the executive director of the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District. He never ceases to amaze me with his ability to organize events, present live talent to our neighborhood all year round, and use his talent and pleasant personality to make things happen. Our neighborhood is richer because of him and his colleagues.

I am especially delighted that he booked such live talent as my favorite group, Elegance Quartet, to entertain visitors to the car show. They play electric string instruments and charm everyone with their musical versatility.

And it is all free. Here is the information podcast again for those interested in attending the car show on July 31 – visiteastpassyunk.com.

Again, hats off to Adam Leiter for lifting our spirits once more and to reporter Joe DiProsperos for spreading the good news.
