Craig Ferguson – At 8 p.m. at Live! Stanton Back to School Block Party – From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the E.M. Stanton School yard, 17th and Montrose streets, join students, parents and teachers of Stanton Elementary for a Back To School Block Party. There will be food, drinks and a uniform swap.

September 14

Happy Hour at Magic Gardens – From 5-8 p.m. at Magic Gardens, 1020 South St., the last crafting happy hour of the year. Treats from Ramona Susan’s Bake Shop to go along with usual soft pretzels and fresh popcorn. Craft tables will make colorful wooden alebrijes (fantastical creatures) and lasagna mosaics, and guests can also try out “tile bingo” game or scavenger hunt. Music by BridgeSet Sound. Proceeds from this event benefit educational programs. Tickets (available starting Aug. 31) are $25/Adults and $16/PMG Members. Drinks included with admission.

Constitution Day  – From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Museum of the American Revolution. Activities are included with regular Museum admission (walking tour is an additional charge).

Interactive, family-friendly activities that delve into the curious, creative and challenging aspects of these fascinating documents. Through trivia stations, craft activities, discovery carts, pop-up talks and more, visitors will discover how state constitutions were adopted, why they varied from state to state, and how they continue to impact our lives today.

Twilight in the Gardens – From 7-10 p.m., at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, 1020 South St. Bring your own drinks and snacks and take in a live performance by the West Philadelphia Foot Tappers and participate in a hands-on activity with artist Chelsey Luster. Train Show – The Train Collectors Association Atlantic Division will hold its Fall Train Show and Sale from 9 to 1 p.m. at Penns Landing Caterers, 1301 S. Columbus Blvd. There will be 140 tables with a variety of vintage toy trains and repair parts for sale, test track, operating toy train layouts, kids activities and door prizes for adults and children. Admission is $5 per family of two adults and all children 12 and under. Food is available on premises and plenty of free parking. 16th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut – At 11 a.m. at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, 4747 S. Broad St. (check-in 10 a.m.). The fall festival for dogs and the people who love them includes live music, contests, agility courses, demonstrations, a pet photo booth and prizes.
