Toddler Time: Swedish Christmas – At 10:30 a.m. at the American Swedish Historical Museum, see the Museum decked out in its holiday splendor. Toddlers and families will get into the spirit by learning about fun Swedish holiday traditions such as St. Lucia Day, Pepparkakor and Jultomte. Read Lucia Morning in Sweden by Ewa Rydåker and dance to seasonal music.

December 20

Winter Solstice Craft Party – at 3:30 p.m at Fumo Family Library, 2437 S. Broad St., celebrate the winter holiday season by crafting in this festive and fun gathering. Materials will be provided.

December 21

ASHM Glögg Tours – Join the American Swedish Historical Museum for a general gallery tour and learn about Scandinavian holiday traditions. Then enjoy some glögg and Swedish pepparkaka between the tours. There are two tour time slots at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The glögg reception will be at 5 p.m. $5 for members and $15 for non-members.

January 8

Toy train show – The Train Collectors Association Atlantic Division will hold its Winter Train Show and Sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Penns Landing Caterers (Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall) 1301 S. Columbus Blvd. There will be 140 tables with vintage toy trains and repair parts for sale, test track, operating toy train layouts, kids activities and door prizes. Stray Cat Relief Bingo Night – at EOM at 144 Moore St. from 7-11 p.m.
