The Future of True Love – From 6-9 p.m. at the National Liberty Museum. Celebrate love in all its forms, from romance to self-care, in an evening dedicated to this eternal pursuit of happiness, as inspired by exhibitions Imagined Futures and truth*. Singles, couples, “situationships” and all others are invited for signature cocktails, interactive experiences, presentations that dive into the depths of the search for love and more. $15 for general admission, $10 for members.

Free Jazz Concert – At 3:30 p.m. at the Whitman Library, in celebration of Black History Month, a concert highlighting the contributions of Philadelphia composers to the rich and varied cultural tradition of Black American Music. The Renaissance Sextet, led by Leon Jordan Sr., will perform live, offer insights on the composers of the music you will hear and host a brief Q&A after the performance.

The Jersey Tenors – At 8 p.m. at the Event Center at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, 900 Packer Ave, the opera/rock mash-up sensation. Galentine’s Day at Rex – from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rex, 1524 South St. Keeping it Small Galentine’s Day Market featuring female-owned businesses selling jewelry, ceramics, tea, flowers, soaps, candles and more. Raffle baskets and drink tickets so you can sip and shop. First 50 attendees get a free drink ticket and raffle ticket.

Guided Tour at Magic Gardens – An intimate tour focusing on the many romantic aspects of the glittering galleries and labyrinth at Magic Gardens, 1020 South St. Learn about the love story of PMG creator Isaiah Zagar and his wife Julia and how the space itself is a love letter to art and artists. Two tours (6:30 and 8 p.m.) will last about 45 minutes followed by time to explore the space on your own. No general admission visitors will be in the museum during that time. Tickets ($25 per person/$16 for members) must be purchased in advance. Most of the tour takes place in the indoor galleries, but the outdoor sculpture will be open, weather permitting. The tour also includes the fully-mosaicked basement, which is not normally open to the public.

Interactive Drum Demo – At 4:30 p.m. at the Whitman Library, Educator and musician Julius Rivera will present a drum presentation where visitors of all ages can learn about drums and have the opportunity to play along.

Mardi Gras Celebration – From 4-11 p.m. at Chris’ Jazz Café at 1421 Sansom St. A night of all things NOLA — crawdads, jambalaya, Hurricanes, Sazerac and King Cake. Chris’ chef/owner Mark DeNinno has created a special menu featuring crawfish, frog legs, jambalaya, gumbo and all the Fat Tuesday traditions. The Hoppin’ John Orchestra, a 10-piece unit with horns galore and second-line grooves, returns for another year. Show times are 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Admission is $20.

Beyond Wakanda – Imagining the Future with Black Comic Creators – from noon to 5 p.m. at the National Liberty Museum. Superhero media inspired by Marvel’s Black Panther, DC’s Cyborg and a vibrant scene of independent creators put forth powerful visions of futuristic heroes shaped by black identity. NLM teams up with the East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention for a day of all-ages programming highlighting glimpses of the future that bring out the hero in all of us. Free with museum admission, advanced registration encouraged.
