The South Street Headhouse District’s 90th Annual Easter Promenade had a large turnout on April 9 as guests were treated to a variety of free, family-friendly spring activities, including the 3rd Annual South Street Egg Hunt, photo-ops with the Easter Bunny, and the Easter Promenade’s Best Dressed Contest.

For the past 90 years, the Easter Promenade has been a staple in Philadelphia and a tradition for many families. The Promenade is one of the longest-running traditions in the city of Philadelphia. The 90th anniversary was a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to celebrate old traditions and for some, create new ones on South Street.

The Promenade began at 5th & South Streets and ended at the Headhouse Plaza on 2nd & Lombard Street, where the Best Dressed Contest took place. Dozens of children, families, and pets entered the contest in hopes of winning prizes. Photos by Beaumonde Originals.
