Get ready to close out the summer with a vibrant celebration of dyke culture at the Dyke Dance on Friday, September 20th! This event is all about joy, resilience, and community, with proceeds going to a great cause. Come dance, connect, and support the nation’s first recovery program for the transgender and gender-non-conforming community, Morris Home.

Event Details

The Dyke Dance is an intergenerational gathering in Mt. Airy, a place fondly known as the “land of lesbians.” Expect a night full of house music spun by DJ JAMZ, with exciting drag performances by Rosey Hart and Papi Javi. Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, and all proceeds from the event will go towards paying performers and supporting Morris Home.

This is a dyke+ space, meaning anyone who identifies as a dyke, no matter their gender expression, is welcome to join. If you identify as a dyke, you belong here!

Event Location

The event will take place at Summit Presbyterian Church Hall, located at 6757 Greene Street, Westview Entrance, Philadelphia, PA 19119. This is a fully inclusive venue with wheelchair accessibility via a ramp on Westview Street. Free street parking is available nearby, and masks are encouraged to ensure safety for everyone in attendance.

Event Price and Conditions

Tickets are available on a sliding scale from $10 to $25. If you can afford it, consider purchasing a ticket on the higher end to support performers and Morris Home. While it’s preferred to buy tickets in advance, you’re welcome to pay at the door as well. Just pick a price that works for you!

Event Time

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 20th, and get ready to dance from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM EDT. It’s three hours of music, community, and celebration you won’t want to miss!
