Philadelphia is marking a milestone in Black media excellence! Join the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ) as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 9, 2024. It’s going to be a night to remember, honoring the incredible contributions of Black journalists in the city.
Event Details
The event will span 5 hours of celebration, networking, and entertainment. Guests will enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open cocktail bar, and the opportunity to mingle with honorees and distinguished guests. The night will include a cocktail hour, an awards ceremony, and an evening filled with music, dancing, and more food. Formal Black-tie or gala attire is encouraged, but attendees are welcome to dress in whatever makes them feel their best.
Here’s the evening’s schedule:
- 6:00-7:30 PM: Cocktail Hour (Networking, open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres)
- 7:30-8:30 PM: Awards Ceremony (Honoring distinguished awardees with speeches)
- 8:30-11:00 PM: Celebration (Open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, mingling, party dancing with a live DJ)

Tickets for this unforgettable event are $175 for general admission and $125 for PABJ members. There’s also a $50 student donation ticket option, supporting those who want to contribute.
