DVYAA FALL BASEBALL

DVYAA is accepting registration for its fall baseball program 6:30 to 8 p.m. weeknights at Barry Playground, 18th and Johnston streets, for ages 7 to 9 and 10 to 12. Call 215-468-1265.


NEUMANN-GORETTI ICE HOCKEY

PHILLIES BLOOD DRIVE

The Phillies will hold a blood drive 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 18 at Citizens Bank Park in the Hall of Fame Club. A limited edition "Away Uniform" Cole Hamels bobblehead will be presented to donors, and autographs from a Phillies legend, appearances by the Phanatic and Phillies’ ball girls, free behind-the-scenes tours and refreshments will be available. ROMAN CATHOLICICE HOCKEY

The Roman Catholic ice hockey club is taking registration for its middle school program for boys in fifth through eighth grade for the fall season. The squad will be part of the West Chester-based Ice Line Scholastic Hockey League. Weekly practices will be held at the Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia beginning 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13. SABRES FALL BASEBALL

ST. MONICA FOOTBALL

SEYAA OUTDOOR SOCCER

Registrations are under way for the SEYAA outdoor fall soccer program, which begins Sept. 8. Age divisions are: 4 to 6; 7 to 8; 9 to 10; 11 to 13; and 14 to 16. Teams are coed and games will be played at SEYAA, Seventh and Bigler streets. The program runs through November. Register 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at the sports complex. SHOT TOWER ACTIVITIES

Shot Tower Playground, Front and Carpenter streets, holds rookie baseball for ages 7 to 10 6 p.m. Tuesdays through September. Indoor soccer for ages 8 to 10 takes place 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 to Nov. 27. Registration fee is $25.

Shot Tower is hosting a trip to the Camden Riversharks game Sept. 7. The bus leaves the playground at 6 p.m. and returns at about 10 p.m. Tickets are $12 and include a food package as well as fireworks after the game.

SIGMA SHARKS

The Sigma Sharks Pop Warner football program holds tryouts for ages 8 to 13 at Chew Playground, 19th Street and Washington Avenue, 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. It is recommended players attend the first few days of tryouts as roster spots fill quickly. Registration is $45. STOP THE VIOLENCE TOURNAMENT

The Stop the Violence tournament, sponsored by Friends of Sacks Playground, is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Fourth Street and Washington Avenue The event is for ages 14 and younger and includes basketball, baseball, football and soccer. JIMMY WILSON BASKETBALL
