The Phillies will hold a blood drive 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 18 at Citizens Bank Park in the Hall of Fame Club. A limited edition "Away Uniform" Cole Hamels bobblehead will be presented to donors, and autographs from a Phillies legend, appearances by the Phanatic and Phillies’ ball girls, free behind-the-scenes tours and refreshments will be available. ROMAN CATHOLICICE HOCKEY
The Roman Catholic ice hockey club is taking registration for its middle school program for boys in fifth through eighth grade for the fall season. Shot Tower is hosting a trip to the Camden Riversharks game Sept. 7. The bus leaves the playground at 6 p.m. and returns at about 10 p.m. Tickets are $12 and include a food package as well as fireworks after the game.

The Stop the Violence tournament, sponsored by Friends of Sacks Playground, is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Fourth Street and Washington Avenue The event is for ages 14 and younger and includes basketball, baseball, football and soccer.
