A neighbor notified police of a burglary that resulted in the arrest of two Sunday.
Police saw an open front door with a busted padlock and part of the door was missing on the 1600 block of Cantrell Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Inside, furniture was flipped. Police located Jason Richetti, 29, of the 1400 block of McKean Street, and Christy Grimley, 36, of the 2400 block of South Juniper Street, in a second-floor bedroom. The duo claimed they had permission to be there, but when the police contacted the 51-year-old owner, he disagreed.
The two perpetrators were arrested and charged with criminal mischief, burglary, criminal trespassing and theft — unlawful taking.
