MODELL’S COMMUNITY WEEKEND
Both local Modell’s Sporting Goods locations will participate in the company’s second annual community weekend starting 5 p.m. March 4. Last year, the event raised more than $600,000 for youth activity programs. From March 4 to 7, customers will receive a 10-percent discount off their purchase and may chose from a list of area sports programs to receive another 10 percent off depending on the purchase amount.

The Neumann-Goretti girls’ basketball team is hosting a fundraiser for girls in grades fourth through eighth in the school gymnasium, 1736 S. 10th St., 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
