A woman was pushed to the ground as an armed duo snatched her purse in South of South Saturday.

While walking to her car at 2 a.m., a 30-year-old lady was pushed down on the 1500 block of Fitzwater Street by two men, who took her green purse, which contained $200, identification, credit cards and a cell phone, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When she screamed, one of the men pulled a black automatic handgun from his waistband and pointed it to the ground to quiet her. The pair fled west on Fitzwater Street.

The armed man was described as black with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, thin, and wearing all black clothing. Police did not have a description of the second offender.
