A Passyunk Square man and a Dickinson Narrows woman were taken into custody and charged for 10 burglaries with two taking place in Bella Vista.

Richard Green, 43, of the 1000 block of South 11th Street, and Rhonda Kelly, 48, of the 500 block of Sigel Street, were arrested Nov. 15 for allegedly committing a combination of 10 burglaries together with one each on the 200 block of Chestnut Street; the 1100 and 2200 blocks of Spruce Street; the 1500, 1600 and 1800 blocks of Pine Street; and the 300 blocks of South 10th and 11th Street, along with two burglaries on the 800 block of South 10th Street at 2:27 and 6:32 p.m. Oct. 30, between Sept. 13 and Nov. 14, according to the Public Affairs Unit.
With the increase in home break-ins, authorities arrested the pair at the Parker Spruce Hotel, 261 S. 13th St., and recovered many of the stolen goods in the hotel room, according to Public Affairs. Central Detectives is continuing to investigate to see if the duo is responsible for any other burglaries.
Green was charged with nine counts of burglary and criminal trespassing; seven counts of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief; five counts of conspiracy burglary; and two counts of criminal attempted theft while Kelly was charged with six counts of burglary, conspiracy burglary, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief; five counts of theft and receiving stolen property; and one count of criminal attempted theft.

Kelly was charged with both South Philly burglaries while Green was only charged with one, according to court records.
Kelly also was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution in North Philly Sept. 22, according to court records.
Green was arrested for retail theft June 4 in Northeast Philly and Aug. 30 in Center City, according to court records. His trials begin Dec. 12 and Jan. 12, respectively. In 2006, he pled guilty to theft and burglary in two separate crimes.
