A Southwest Philly man was gunned down while in transit last week.
Jujuan Hinton, 29, of the 6000 block of Buist Avenue, was driving his 2002 Chevy Impala on the 2200 block of Snyder Avenue at 7:55 p.m. Aug. 23 when he was wounded multiple times in the head and body, Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. He turned on to the 2000 block of South Croskey Street and crashed into a dwelling on the west side of the street, causing an unknown amount of damage.
Police found Hinton lying next to his auto, Russell said. The victim was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition and pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m. Aug. 24.
Police did not have any suspects or a motive at press time.
