A shooting victim refused to cooperate, attempting to flee the West Passyunk scene Friday. Police have since revealed video of the crime.

A light-colored SUV traveled backwards on the 1900 block of South 20th Street — a one-way, northbound street — and pulled up to a 34-year-old, according to surveillance video the Police Public Affairs Unit released Tuesday. The passenger fired multiple shots from the vehicle plus several more at the fleeing target after stepping out of the auto.

Officers heard the gunshots at 2:39 a.m. and noticed a man with a graze wound to his right shoulder sprinting east on McKean Street from the crime scene where detectives later located ballistics evidence, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Police were able to catch the man on the 1800 block of McKean Street where he refused to cooperate with police or medics. Police transported him to Methodist Hospital, but he again declined treatment.

A description of the shooter or shooters was not available at press time,
