A woman and her two sons fled from their attempted muggers.

A 26-year-old was walking on Snyder Avenue near 25th Street with her children at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 19 when two men walked up to her, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. One of them said, “I know you got something” before tapping on her jacket pocket and adding “Yeah, you got something.”

She grabbed her sons and said, “Please you can do what you want to me but don’t hurt my sons,” Tolliver said. She screamed and ordered the boys to run to the police station. She joined them and the duo pursued them briefly. The woman lost the men and reported the incident to police.

The woman was not harmed and nothing was taken from her, Tolliver said.

The offender was described as black with a dark complexion, age 20 to 30, 5-foot-8, 190 pounds and wearing a black hoodie while his accomplice was described as black age 20 to 30 and wearing a black hoodie.
