Authorities used several anonymous tips to capture the third suspect in a trio of robberies.

Having arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Pompeii, of the 1900 block of South 17th Street and 28-year-old Sophorn Ouch, of the 1600 block of South Bancroft Street Nov. 5 thanks to similar public input and a surveillance video, officials busted 19-year-old Keenan Gentry, of the 1800 block of South Bancroft Street, the next day in North Philly. Police had been seeking the three for their alleged roles in two Queen Village robberies and a Dickinson Square West offense.

The first occurred Oct. 17 on the 700 block of South Fourth Street and involved the supposed gunpoint robbery of a man by Gentry and Pompeii, with the two scoring $15; credit cards, one of which they used to make an Oct. 22 purchase at Walmart; identification; and an iPhone, police said.

The second came Oct. 19 on the 1300 block of South Fourth Street, with the duo reportedly using a gun to frighten a woman into giving them her a bag with her cell phone inside, a wallet containing $80, keys, credit cards and identification and a bag with high heel shoes. The spree ended Oct. 22 with the suspected taking of a cell phone, debit cards and keys from a female on the 1300 block of South Fifth Street. In all the instances, the complainants said the two fled in a Toyota Camry, with the third victim, who reported to officials someone had used his credit cards at three stores, stating he saw a woman driving the vehicle. Surveillance video at one establishment claims to show Ouch making purchases with the cards.

Tips led police to Pompeii, who awaits a Nov. 21 preliminary hearing based on charges including possession of an instrument of crime, assault, firearms violations, robbery recklessly endangering another person and unauthorized use an automobile based on authorities’ contention that he and Ouch stole a gray 2009 Toyota Camry, on the 1700 block of South Chadwick Street. The video footage helped officials to collar Ouch, whose information does not appear in court records and who received similar charges and the additional ones of forgery and fraud, outside her residence. Gentry, whose charges include possession of an instrument of crime, theft and firearms violations, awaits a Dec. 3 preliminary hearing.
