A dancer heading to a class in Passyunk Square ended up robbed last week.

Walking along the 1300 block of Wharton Street at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21, the woman heard mumbles from an unknown male, who then stood in front of her and blared “Give me your money, or I’m going to shoot you,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Not seeing a gun, she handed him her bag, valued at $100, which contained a pair of pink ballet shoes, a pink and white wallet, a debit card, identification and medical cards.

The offender instructed the complainant to turn around, so she was unable to determine in which direction he fled, Tolliver said. The victim described him as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, and 5-foot-9; having a medium build and wearing a black hoody and pants and a scarf around his mouth and nose.
