Authorities headed to CVS, 1901 Oregon Ave., at 11:05 p.m. Saturday to handle a complaint. Meeting with staff and a witness, they learned two males entered the site and used handguns to make demands for cash, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Before fleeing the area in a silver Ford SUV that the complainants caught heading westbound along Oregon Avenue, the offenders took an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes.
Minutes after responding, police located the vehicle pulled against the curb on the 2000 block of Snyder Avenue, Tolliver said, with the windows down, lights on and the keys in the ignition. They also observed and recovered physical evidence from the automobile. Descriptions of the thieves was not available at press time.
