Authorities arrested a North Philly woman for supposedly heaving a Molotov cocktail at a West Passyunk home.

Police ventured to the 1900 block of South Hemberger Street Sunday and learned from the complainant that she had an altercation with a woman the day before, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The victim stated that as she entered her home at 3:20 p.m., she saw a red car coming up her street and heard its tires screech.

Turning around, she contends she saw Cinette Washington throw a Molotov cocktail from the automobile. The object hit the wall of her home, Tolliver said, with the complainant running into the residence and discovering liquid from the object had splashed her niece’s face. She called police, who arrested the 27-year-old Washington and charged her with arson, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and risking a catastrophe.
