Authorities last week announced the arrests of two New Jersey residents who were suspects in nine local commercial burglaries.

The incidents began on June 20 and ran until July 14, with Michael’s Grocery, 1138 Porter St.; Qing Grocery, 2401 S. 10th St.; Betty’s Grocery, 2747 S. 10th St.; the 9th and Jackson Grocery, 853 Jackson St.; Lin’s Grocery STore, 2024 S. Fourth St.; Wilson and Son Mini Market, 1928 S. Ninth St.; Best of Both Worlds Grocery Store, 2601 S. Eighth St.; L&M Grocery, 2241 S. Fifth St.; and Fuji Food Mart, 1741 S. Fifth St., as their supposed targets. In each matter, video surveillance depicted two men loitering in front of the businesses before cutting the wires to exterior cameras and forcing entry into the sites, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The perpetrators took cash, tobacco products, small electronics, tokens, and lottery tickets.

Authorities secured arrest warrants July 23 and located Anthony Iannetta, of Runnemede, N.J., in Bellmawr, N.J. Aug. 3. They took the 38-year-old into custody, and he waived extradition, leading to his transportation to Philadelphia. Law enforcement officials charged him with criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, and theft by receiving stolen property. Tolliver noted the second supposed offender is in custody in Camden County Prison on local charges and that police will use a Philadelphia arrest warrant as a detainer so as to transport him here, where they will charge him, upon the completion of his Garden State processing. Until then, he will remain unidentified.
