A pedestrian parted with approximately $1,300 as a victim of an East Passyunk Crossing robbery.
The offender approached her at 11:35 p.m. Aug. 22 as she walked along the 900 block of Watkins Street, knocking her down to grab her handbag and cell phone, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said, before fleeing in an unknown direction. A little bit later, someone returned her holder after having noticed it on the 1900 block of South Sartain Street, with the aforementioned cash gone.
The victim described the attacker as a white male and 20 years old; having light hair; and wearing a striped shirt.
