Police are looking for leads in a gentlemen’s club-situated shooting.
At 3:23 a.m. Monday, authorities met with the complainant at Mercy Hospital, learning he had suffered an upper left leg gunshot wound outside Club Onyx, 2908 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd. Viewing video footage, they determined security had escorted him from the site and that he then engaged up to eight men in a conversation, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.
Something soon startled them, and the complainant fell to the ground, eventually hobbling to the rear of the parking area, where he discovered his injury. As of press time, police had no information on the possible shooter(s).
