The South Philadelphia High School girls soccer team defeated Horace Furness 3-0 on Tuesday at the South Philly Super Site. Hanna Speizman scored twice and Virginia Bruck added another goal for the Rams in their opening game of the season.
Furness showed a significant gesture of sportsmanship by playing the entire game a player short to match Southern, which could only dress 10 players.
