DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL
The Second Annual Philadelphia Dragon Boat Festival will take place Oct. 4 on the Schuylkill River racecourse in Fairmount Park. The festival will include teams from corporations, community organizations, businesses, schools and more. No prior rowing experience is required. KOPLOVE UPDATE
Packer Park native Mike Koplove is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder, which was performed Monday by Dr. Craig Morgan of Delaware. The Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher, who has been on the disabled list since June 19, is expected to begin his rehabilitation program this week to ensure he is healthy for spring training.
