SPORTS DEADLINE

The deadline for sports notices is Monday at noon. Due to space restrictions, all briefs must be limited to 30-50 words. Submissions should be typed or neatly printed, with both a contact number for verification and one for publication. Names should be properly spelled and include both first and last names. Phoned-in items will be rejected. The same brief will not be run for more than three consecutive weeks.


ALL-CITY CLASSIC

The Philadelphia U.S.A. basketball program will hold its 10th annual Stay in School Adidas All-City Classic on June 5 at La Salle University. Tip-off for the first game is at 1 p.m. The top freshmen, sophomores and juniors from the Philadelphia Public and Catholic leagues will participate. Philly U.S.A. was formed to develop fellowship among athletes who have high grades and good attendance. Past participants include Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, Miami Heat forward and South Philadelphia native Rasual Butler and National College Player of the Year Jameer Nelson. EOM TEE-BALL

EOM, Front and Moore streets, is holding tee-ball registration for ages 4-7. Games will be played Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m. through June 1. Registration fee is $25. Call Erin, 7 a.m.-2 p.m., or Christi, 2-6 p.m., at 215-271-1994.


GORETTI BASKETBALL CAMP

JIMMY WILSON BASKETBALL CAMP

The Jimmy Wilson basketball camp and summer league is seeking boys and girls to play in age divisions 6-10, 10-14 and 14-18. Call 215-577-6919 by June 15.


JUNIOR OLYMPIC EVENT

A Junior Olympic event sponsored by Team Cristinzio is for ages 8-12 and will be held at Capitolo Playground, Ninth and Wharton streets, June 5 at 10 a.m. Call Kathi Piccoli, 215-462-5100 ext. 107.


MURPHY BASKETBALL

Murphy Recreation Center, Third and Shunk streets, will hold an instructional girls’ basketball camp June 21-25. The camp runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday and is open to all 10-12-year-old girls. The one-week camp costs $25 and includes a T-shirt. Lunch will be provided daily. Call 215-685-1874.


NEUMANN BASKETBALL CAMP

NOBLES WINS AGAIN

Gerald "The Jedi" Nobles, originally of 19th and Kaufman streets, stopped former WBA heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon in the ninth round of Saturday night’s bout in Las Vegas. Nobles (23-0, 18 KOs) was knocked down with a left hook in the second round, but quickly recovered. He is currently ranked 13th in the heavyweight division by the North American Boxing Federation.


POINT BREEZE BASKETBALL

The Point Breeze Universal Basketball League is seeking teams, players and coaches for its upcoming summer league. The boys’ divisions are 19 and under, 16 and under and 13 and under. Call Kenyatta Bey, 215-718-7669, before May 30.


ROMAN ICE HOCKEY

The Roman Catholic middle school ice-hockey team is holding registration for boys in fifth-eighth grades for the upcoming season. Games will be played at IceLine in West Chester. SENATORS BASEBALL

Mark Donato pitched the first no-hitter in Senators’ history on Sunday. Donato struck out 12 in a 5-0 win against the Tri-State Titans in the AAU Super Regional League. The Senator Nationals are 30-6 and have earned a USSA World Series bid in North Carolina and an AAU National Championship bid to Minnesota. The Senator Americans are undefeated in city league action, and will play in the USSA qualifier over the Fourth of July weekend in Rehoboth, Del.


SEYAA SOCCER

Registration is underway for the fall outdoor soccer program, which will begin play Sept. 11. All prior participants will receive a registration form by mail. Divisions are 4-6, 7-9, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17. Register at the SEYAA concession stand, Seventh and Bigler streets, Mondays-Fridays, 6-8 p.m., and Saturdays, 2-4 p.m. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. SPNAL SUMMER PROGRAMS

Orientation for the South Philadelphia Neighborhood Athletic League will be held June 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Vare Recreation Center, 26th and Moore streets. The program is for youths ages 9-14.
