A Newbold robbery left a man minus possessions and full of questions.

After parking and exiting his vehicle on the 1800 block of South Bancroft Street at 4:39 a.m. May 1, the 53-year-old encountered an unknown male who, after coming up behind the figure, demanded “Give me all your money, or I’ll shoot you,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The aggressor shoved the male, who reported that he didn’t see a firearm, to the ground and took his wallet from his rear right pocket.

Police have unsuccessfully surveyed the area for the suspect, who fled in an unknown direction with a reported $800, the victim’s identification and credit cards, Tolliver said. The complainant also reported minor scratches to his hands and pain in both knees, but refrained from seeking medical treatment.

He described the offender as a black male; 22 to 25 years old; 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1; 200 pounds; and wearing a black hoody.
