To the Editor:
Sister Paula Beierschmitt (who died Sept. 28 at the age of 72) may be gone, but never forgotten. She had a smile that would light up the room. Anyone who knew her was blessed.
She was sent out on a mission from Our Lady of Guadalupe to have a shrine placed on a wall, so all could stop and pray for our country during these hard times. Sister Paula is now with Our Lady of Guadalupe.
I think she is looking down, telling us to pray and pick up where she left off. She is trying to let us know the Lady picked Philadelphia because of all the things that are going on here with the killing of babies, breaking into homes and the beating of older people. The city needs our prayers and help.
I just know she is looking at us from heaven. Let’s make her a promise and finish what Sister Paula started. I am not a real church person, but I do know a good person. That’s Sister Paula.
