An armed robber rid a Whitman eatery of its tip jar last week.

At 10:08 p.m. Nov. 20, the firearm-wielding individual entered Terryin Restaurant, 358 Snyder Ave., pointed the weapon at an employee and demanded money, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The interloper then grabbed the site’s tip jar, containing approximately $30, off the counter before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The worker and a witness described him as black, 16 to 20 years old and 5-foot-10 and wearing all black clothes, gloves and a mask with a skull design.
