Accusing another man of voicing something inappropriate to his wife, an aggressive male roughed him up in the Sports Complex area Sunday.
Reaching 11th Street and Pattison Avenue at 9:29 p.m., authorities encountered the complainant, who relayed that while he and a peer were walking out of McFadden’s Bar within Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, the soon-to-be offender approached them and accused the former of saying something improper to his spouse, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. After having a spat with the stranger, the complainant turned to talk away, but the other man hit him in the back of the head with a bottle.
While on the ground, he suffered several punches to his face, with the attacker then fleeing eastbound on Pattison Avenue, Tolliver said. A Medic Unit transported the victim to Methodist Hospital for treatment of injuries that included lacerations to his head, a swollen right eye and head pain. He described the pain producer as white, approximately 35 years old, 5-foot-8 and having a muscular build and bald head.
