To the Editor:
A sad, sad blow, it is to know,
When Holy Spirit shuts its doors,
A shining light, pillar of strength,
A House of God, to worship in.
The cantor will not sing the psalms,
The songs, the organist won’t play.
A pity to close a window,
On chirping birds, children playing.
Let our hearts be merry again,
In this dwelling place of the Lord.
Open your doors, let Masses stay,
So people can come in to pray.
