Family and friends gathered on the 400 block of Vollmer Street Friday to hold a vigil for Don Ly. The beloved patriarch and respected fruit vendor died April 18, 2013 after an at-large assailant stabbed him on his Whitman Street. Investigators have footage of the assailant but have not established credible leads. The Citizens Crime Commission and the City of Philadelphia have united to offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and a conviction. Contact 215-546-TIPS or 215-686-TIPS.
