Seven-year-old Alex Forss, whose congenital heart defect has resulted in 10 surgeries, including three open-heart procedures by the time he turned three, attended April 20’s 19th annual Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs for Heart derby contest at Citizens Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way. The Philadelphia Phillies, in conjunction with the American Heart Association, hold the event in honor of star outfielder and broadcaster Richie Ashburn, whom a heart attack claimed September 9, 1997. ■
