A man robbed a woman as she attempted to purchase tokens in the Stadium Complex area.
The complainant sought to buy the items just outside the entrance to the Broad Street Subway station at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue at 5:15 p.m. Monday, with an unknown male approaching her as she placed her money into the machine, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The stranger pointed a small black and silver firearm at her and demanded money, receiving approximately $40 before he fled, on foot, in an unknown direction.
The victim described him as black, 18 to 22 years old, and 5-foot-5; having a thin build, a medium complexion, and short dark hair; and wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants or jeans.
