Police arrested a minor for allegedly assaulting a would-be passenger on the Broad Street Subway.

The complainant was walking toward the subway stop at Broad and Tasker streets 11:45 a.m. Sept. 29 when an unknown figure accosted him on the 1700 block of South Rosewood Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Pushing his prey into a gate, the offender pointed a silver revolver at him and barked “Don’t scream, and give me everything.”

Parting with cash and an iPhone 7, the victim saw the teenager head northbound on the same block and then westbound on Broad Street and Castle Avenue. Surveillance footage helped authorities to prepare a photo array for the complainant, who on Oct. 12 positively identified his supposed attacker. Two days later, police detained the minor.
