At around 3 a.m. Sunday, the complainant was pulling her car into the garage of the Marine Club Condominiums on the 1100 block of South Broad Street when a masked man said “Give me your stuff.” Ignoring him and the rifle-like gun that he had, she drove to the third level, with a red car pulling up behind her, authorities said.

The same male exited the vehicle and broke her window, striking her with the weapon and pulling her from the car. He swiped her cell phone while a female accomplice went inside the automobile to remove her handbag. The two then sped off, with the make and model unavailable at press time.

The complainant, who was not injured, described the male as black and 5-foot-10; having a medium brown complexion and a medium build; and wearing a dark jacket and faded blue jeans; and the woman as black; having a large build; and wearing black tights.

Meaningless mayhem

A group of offenders united to assault a man in Point Breeze.

The complainant had been walking on the 1200 block of South Broad Street at 8 p.m. Jan. 10 when a man approached him from behind and struck him on the right side of his face, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The blow from the unknown object caused him to fall to the ground, where the aggressor and three other figures kicked and punched him repeatedly. Failing to take his cell phone, they left the scene, with the victim noting they fled southbound on Broad Street.

Second effort

An at-large suspect’s persistence helped him to rob a woman in West Passyunk.

At 6:55 p.m. Jan. 4, the complainant was walking toward 24th and Mifflin streets when an unknown offender grabbed her by the hood of her jacket, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Putting a gun to her head, he dragged her between two parked vehicles and demanded her possessions.

The victim stated she did not have anything, but the man told her to empty her pockets. She parted with her cell phone, a wallet containing $100 and various forms of identification, and keys. The aggressor collected them and walked down the 2300 block of Mifflin Street.

The woman described the suspect as black and 180 to 200 pounds; having a heavy build, a bushy beard, and a dark complexion; and wearing dark clothing and sneakers.
