Fundraiser for black LGBTQ+

The Feminist Flea Market and Craft Fair will host an outdoor market at Love City Brewing on Sept. 25 from noon to 7 p.m.

There will be more than 40 vendors selling handmade clothing and jewelry, live plants, candles, vintage accessories, homemade beauty products and more at Love City Brewing, located at 1023 Hamilton St.

The market will feature artists who are marginalized for their gender, including women, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming folks, and makers who are Black, Indigenous and People of Color.

To shop, there’s a $5 “entry fee.” Proceeds will go to Coalition for Black Trans Economic Liberation, which was created for and by Black, transgender Philadelphians to redistribute wealth, in its many forms, from non-Black people everywhere to Black LGBTQ+ people in Philadelphia. The last market on Aug. 27 at Cherry Street Pier hosted 1,500 people and raised more than $6,000 for Homies Helping Homies, which is headquartered in Point Breeze.
