State Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler and her staff are helping bridge the digital divide by helping many neighbors — especially seniors — file for their property tax/rent rebate, LIHEAP, and other state government needs.

Fiedler said she and her office are helping people who don’t have a computer or the internet, who don’t feel comfortable putting personal information online, or don’t have a printer. Paperwork can be printed in the office and picked up or mailed to the resident In pressing needs, some forms have been hand delivered by the Representative herself.

“The digital divide poses challenges for so many of our neighbors,” Fiedler said. “My staff and I are committed to going above and beyond to help people navigate the programs they qualify for. If people are homebound, need applications and or electronic filing assistance for state services, they can call our office and we are glad to help them.”

Fiedler said neighbors who would like paperwork for state programs printed, or who would like to apply for state services online can walk into her office at 9th and Ritner Streets, visit office mobile hours in the community, or call her office at 215-271-9190.
