The Academy at Palumbo girls volleyball team avenged an early season loss by defeating Parkway Center City in four sets on Monday in the semifinal round of the Philadelphia Public League playoffs.
The Griffins has lost to Parkway in three sets on Oct. 12, but came out victorious in the playoff rematch. Palumbo will take on Central High School in the Public League Championship on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at South Philadelphia High School.
