Bed of Roses – at 8 p.m. at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, a Bon Jovi tribute. Captures Bon Jovi’s full career, from the ’80s roots to the current sound. Bed of Roses will take you on a journey of the entire 40-plus-year history of Bon Jovi with an evening of hits including “Livin’ On A Prayer,” “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “It’s My Life,” performed in authentic costuming, voice and showmanship. Mario Lanza Birthday Remembrance – At 1 p.m., the Mario Lanza Institute will have its annual Mario Lanza Birthday Remembrance party at the Mario Lanza Museum (1214 Reed St.) to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the legendary tenor’s birth. The event is from 1-4 p.m. and will include a lunch of hoagies, pasta salad and other goodies, a Mario Lanza video presentation and a special performance by soprano Dominika Zamara and classical guitarist Stanley Alexandrowicz. Tickets are $35. Seating is limited for this event and on a first-come first-paid basis. To order tickets by credit card, call the Mario Lanza Institute at 215-238-9691 or pay by check to Mario Lanza Institute, 1214 Reed St., Philadelphia, PA 19147. Pea Soup Dinner – At 6 p.m. at the American Swedish Historical Museum in FDR Park, a tradition continues with the annual Pea Soup Dinner hosted by The Pea Soup Committee. Ärtsoppa, or Swedish yellow pea soup, is the traditional Thursday night supper in Sweden during the winter that dates to medieval times. ASHM’s Pea Soup Dinner is served with sharp Swedish cheese, bread and Swedish pancakes and coffee for dessert. There will also be a cash bar. Baroque Chamber Music – at 3 p.m., at Gloria Dei Church (916 S. Swanson St.), experience 18th-century chamber music in a personal, intimate setting – the way kings and queens of that time did. Reserve tickets now to hear “Camera Oscura.” The concert will feature works by Fasch, Handel, Roman and Leclair on period instruments. The musicians include Eve Miller, baroque cello; Edmond Chan, baroque violin; Karen Dekker, baroque violin; and John Walthausen, harpsichord. Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for students with I.D. and $5 for children under 12. It includes a drink ticket for a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Cruel Amaryllis: Italian madrigals for two tenors – Presented by Tempesta di Mare, the show features star tenors Jacob Perry and James Reese backed by a trio of virtuoso theorbists. Concerts will take place Feb. 2 and 3 in Chestnut Hill and Center City, respectively. A third performance follows on Feb. 4 on tour in Stroudsburg. 

This original project, curated by Tempesta di Mare co-Director Richard Stone, explores the period 1601–1643, a golden age in Italy when music developed its own expressive powers independent of words and when paired with poetry brought both mediums to new communicative heights. Shows are Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Ave.; Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Center for Urban Life, 2212 Spruce St. and Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. in Stroudsburg. Kelsey Cook –  At 8 p.m. at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia. Cook is on her multi-city “Nice Try Tour” and has performed on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Comedy Central’s “This is Not Happening” and EPIX’s “Unprotected Sets.” Cook also co-hosts the “Self-Helpless podcast” with fellow comedians Taylor Tomlinson and Delanie Fischer. Cupid’s Undie Run – At Xfinity Live!, hundreds of people in Philadelphia will brave the cold in just their undies during Cupid’s Undie Run, the nation’s largest pantless party and mileish run for charity. The event raises awareness of neurofibromatosis and fundraises for NF research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Members of the Philadelphia NF community can share their personal experiences with the genetic disorder.
