Faith leaders, activists and artists gathered at the Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church on South 6th Street before taking part in a pilgrimage from Independence Hall to the White House in Washington, D.C. to urge President Biden to call for an end to the war in Palestine.
The pilgrimage began on Feb. 14 and is scheduled to last until Feb. 21.
The group is urging Biden and Congress to halt weapons funding to Israel and, instead, channel efforts toward increasing humanitarian aid to Palestine.
