Neumann-Goretti High School boys basketball coach Carl Arrigale recently made history in two categories.
The Saints’ longtime coach recorded his 600th career win on March 8 as Neumann-Goretti defeated Littlestown, 86-63, in the first round of the PIAA Class 4A playoffs. Earlier this season, Arrigale notched his 300th Catholic League victory when the Saints defeated Conwell-Egan, 83-63, on Jan. 22.
Arrigale finished the season with 307 career PCL victories, which ranks fourth all time behind only William “Speedy” Morris of Roman Catholic and St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, Bill Fox of Father Judge and Charles O’Brien of La Salle.
