Juditha Triumphans – at 4 p.m. at Irvine Auditorium at the University of Pennsylvania, 3401 Spruce St., prize-winning South Philadelphia baroque orchestra Tempesta di Mare, vocal soloists and the chorus of the Penn Collegium Musicum will perform The Triumph of Judith, the biblical story of Judith and Holofernes dramatized through music by Antonio Vivaldi (The Four Seasons, Gloria). The Triumph of Judith (Juditha triumphans, 1716) is considered one Vivaldi’s finest compositions and is his only surviving oratorio. This gem-studded work tells the tale of Judith, a Jewish woman who romances the invading Assyrian general Holofernes in order to kill him and free her people. Sung in its original Latin with projected English translation. ‘To Sit and Dream’ opera concert – At 3 p.m. at the Tindley Temple Methodist Church, 750 S. Broad St., Opera Philadelphia Chorus is teaming up with the Wharton-Wesley Faith Ensemble for a 90-minute concert centered on the poetry of Langston Hughes. Philadelphia soprano Karen Slack is a guest soloist. Conducting the show are Opera Philadelphia’s Elizabeth Braden and Theodore Thomas Jr., director of the Wharton-Wesley Faith Ensemble and Minister of Music at Tindley Temple. The show is ticketed at a “pay what you decide.”

Banh Mi & Bottles x Southwark Collaboration Dinner – At 6 p.m. at 712-14 South St., this special prix fixe Viet-alian menu celebrates the distinct flavors of two notable restaurants in the South Street neighborhood. TIMELESS: A Tribute to The Legacy of Peter Nero – At 3 p.m. at the Kimmel Center, a concert paying homage to the career and music of Peter Nero. The concert will be conducted by Carl Topilow with guest artist pianist George Burton, a Philadelphia native from Mt. Airy who graduated from CAPA and won a Peter Nero piano competition. They will join forces with The No Name Pops, the former musicians of The Philly Pops, to showcase Nero’s music.
