The Philadelphia Police Department arrested a Point Breeze dweller for allegedly robbing a convenience store.

On June 17, five days after the receipt of an anonymous phone tip, authorities detained 19-year-old Nymir Lee, of the 1800 block of South 20th Street, as the suspect in the June 6 robbery of One Stop Market on the 1500 block of Morris Street. As first reported in the South Philly Review June 12 (“Storming the store”), a male entered the Point Breeze establishment with a handgun at 10:50 a.m. and quickly pointed it at an employee to demand money. Taking an undetermined amount of cash, he fled south on foot, last seen traveling on 16th Street.

On June 13, two police officers identified Lee as the suspect, and law enforcement officials that day obtained an arrest warrant. Lee, held on robbery and related charges, had not posted his $250,000 bail as of press time and awaits a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
