Wild gunfire

A man was wounded in the face in Point Breeze last week.

An officer responded to the 2200 block of Tasker Street for a person shot at 1:15 a.m. Sept. 18 and located the victim, who was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a gunshot wound to his face and left arm, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

The gunfire also struck two unattended parked cars on the block, including the windshield of a blue 2002 Chevrolet and the rear passenger door of a white ’12 Dodge, which also had a bullet graze its hood Tolliver said.

One of the offenders was described as black with a dark complexion, 5-foot-7, thin and wearing a gray hoodie. A detailed description of the other offender, who was armed with a .40 caliber handgun, was not available at press time.
